A Fresh Start for Our Local WordPress Community
What started as an idea a month ago finally turned into a full day of learning, excitement, and community building at the WordPress Campus Connect Brahmanbaria event. The energy in the room was noticeable from the moment registration began. Many students were experiencing WordPress for the first time, and their curiosity set the perfect tone for everything that followed.

As the Lead Organizer, Shipon Karmakar opened the program with a warm welcome, explained the purpose behind Campus Connect, and created a friendly, encouraging atmosphere that carried throughout the event.
Why Bringing Campus Connect to Brahmanbaria Mattered
The main goal behind organizing this event was to make WordPress accessible for students who have never had the chance to explore it.
In Brahmanbaria, opportunities for practical, beginner-friendly tech learning are limited. Campus Connect gave students a chance to discover a new platform, learn something valuable, and understand how WordPress can open doors to real-world opportunities.
Throughout the discussions, we also introduced students to:
- how local WordPress meetups build community,
- why WordCamp events are important for learning and networking,
- and ways anyone—no matter their background—can start contributing to the WordPress project.
The reactions made it clear that this exposure meant a lot to them.
